Ensure comprehensive basic healthcare for people in precarious situations.

Objectives

Act for easy access to basic healthcare in Benin

The Project for Easy Access to Healthcare for People in Precarious Situations, funded by the Swiss Association “Le MORINGA,” aims to facilitate access to essential medical care for disadvantaged and extremely precarious populations in Atacora (Northern Benin).

The project specifically targets the following vulnerable groups:

  • Newborns and children (orphans or parents in precarious situations).
  • Disadvantaged street children and youth.
  • Young girls and women in difficult social conditions.
  • Abandoned elderly individuals without social support.

Identification

Identify people in precarious and vulnerable situations who do not have access to basic healthcare.

Care

Ensure comprehensive and free healthcare for project beneficiaries.

Monitoring

Conduct rigorous monitoring and efficient management of beneficiary care.

PAFAS-PSP AMBITIONS

+6,000 beneficiaries in precarious and vulnerable situations to be cared for by 2026!

PAFAS-PSP STACKHOLDER

A synergy of action among 3 main actors

As the primary financial supporter of PAFAS-PSP, the “Le MORINGA” Association has, among other responsibilities within this project:

  • Mobilize and provide the necessary resources and means for project implementation and development.
  • Determine the project’s strategic directions (beneficiary profile, nature of care). “Le MORINGA” is a Swiss association that has been funding humanitarian projects in Benin for several years.

It is notably the main initiator of the Gnémasson Nutrition Center project in the Péhunco commune, Atacora department (Northern Benin), which has provided care and saved the lives of over 2,000 children.

The TTM Cabinet is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the proper management of the project.
  • Providing project monitoring and evaluation.

Top Team Management (TTM) is a firm specialized in the study, audit, consultancy, project management, organizational management, legal and administrative assistance, change management, and mental training…

The pH Clinic plays a crucial role in the project’s success through:

  • Welcoming beneficiary patients.
  • Providing care and services (consultation, biomedical analysis, medications, hospitalization, catering…).

Located in Natitingou, the main city of the Atacora department in Benin, the pH Clinic (CpH) was created to address the need for access to quality healthcare in an area with one of the lowest healthcare coverage rates.

CpH is strongly oriented towards non-profit activities and regularly engages in social actions to improve the well-being and health of the people of Natitingou and its surroundings.

Demand Analysis Committee

In addition to the three main identified actors, an autonomous committee for processing and analyzing requests for care has been established with the following responsibilities:

  • Review registered requests for care.
  • Conduct necessary verifications based on social investigation findings.
  • Compile the list of provisional beneficiaries before final approval.
  • Ensure the quality of beneficiary care.

Together, let's provide better care for people in precarious and vulnerable situations
